City For The Lost: Field Camp

Field Camp
DAY1
Set off from company line with my ever-so-heavy feild pack... was very stressed out coz there's this feeling of leaving out something... anyway took off as point platoon [the ones that walked in front] for a very very very long route march... had to sing song and stuff along the way... 1st we stop at this place called SALABIN or something like tat and have our 1st lesson... camo... damn... is like putting on facial... all green then must add adidas strips on the face... then we learn the art of camoflage... to blend in with the surrounding... by putting stupid leaves and grass and plants on our body... then had to do jumping jacks with our rifle to prove that the wouldn't drop... some how ARMY DAZE made it look so simple... they should just do a movie solely on field camp... anyway... march off from that place to our 1st camp site Rubber plantation... pitch our camp [aka basha] no its not those you pull one string and it pop out one... damn irritating... imagine marching for 1 hour plus with this huge pack that numbs your arm TOTALLY then get 15 min to set up stuff.. HELL... then we had our 1st powder bathe... freaking gross... sweating the whole day then they ask you to strip to your underwear and put prickly heat [aka snake powder] all over till you look like ghost... worst thing? 170 odd ppl doing almost together... when the wind blows... i tell you.... had our first try of combat rations.... this green packet of food [am glad to bring back for you guys to try but its prohibited] well the menu sounds nice nonya curry rice, pasta with chicken, tomato seafood rice... tell you the only nice things are the biscuits... tried to slp at night... was freaking tired so did manage to catch some slp
