A Reason to Party!
Yup, and the reason is you. Or rather me. Time is catching up. I'm now a year older yet still too playful to want to grow up. Well as usual, nothing exciting happened on my birthday BUT did had a wonderful time before.
24 March 2006 (Friday)
24th is actually Meixia and Boon's birthday. Can't believe we've known each other for almost 10 years. Wow. Though we don't meet up often, everytime we meet up is always full of fun and laughter. Went for Sakura buffet with Xia and Szeming, Boon, Shirley and qiwei, Shirin and boyfriend. Was joking, playing eating and having fun that I almost seemed like our old days when we went to school early to practically slack around, well, eating playing and joking. Glad to have these friends for the past decade (well, almost a decade). We have seen each other grown, got hurt, supported each other along the way. We shared our joy, sadness and many more.
25 March 2006 (Sat)
Went out with the OCT bros. Had a tough time, suppose to be a small dinner gathering. Well, end up rather nicely. Went to Ivan's for sing song session before meeting the rest for dinner at Auntie Teresa's Buddy Hoagies. As usual, the police timing thingy kicked in. At least ma, Ivan and Jon were entertained by FRC attending to some case at the station. Was late when we made our way there and arrive just in time to see some family take our RESERVED table. Thank God Auntie Teresa was there to help. Had our table back and waited for the rest to appear. At around an hour after the designated meeting time, Alec and Ning, Momo, and Wayne arrived (in that order). Dinner was WONDERFUL. Felt a little bad for Auntie Teresa to serve us personally at the table. I bet they never thought (other than Alec and Ning who had been there before) it was self-service (sort of). Original plan was to sit there and chill and slack but due end up leaving rather early. Couldn't decide where to go so went home. On the way home, Xiao Ming called (what a coincidence) and end up in Cheverons for KTVing. Wayne was there up no room so end up at Kbox Jurong East. Wayne didnt go Kbox so it was Me, Xiao Ming, Kent and Wei Jia (Xiao ming's Swiss senior). Had a wonderful time.

A rest and relax day to recoperate from last night's KTV. Spent the afternoon reading my book. Met up with Alec and Ning for movie, Transamerica, in town. Not a bad movie with a lot of references. A good thesis or paper material. Watched it at Cineleisure, the MAX thingy thing thing level. Before that, I went a little early to collect the tix and arrived at the 5th level to find the counters closed. So went to the Kbox level and was directed to level 9 because "the last movie for this level has started" So went up to level 9 which only had ONE counter opened. Called Alec to hurry up cause when queueing up to collect, was surrounded by gays and trannies, kinda freaky considering we're watching Transamerica. Finally, it was my turn to collect and i was served by 3 trainees (ONLY) They swipe my card and stuff and asked me if i wanted to pay by cash or card. I was like ["] ? thought booking sure use card so nevermind i said card and they took out a calculater to figure out how much i had to pay. I was like!!! isnt it on the screen? Nevermind, bought a family combo, got my popcorn and waiting for the last of my two drinks when someone asked the trainee serving me to do something. The Trainee actually LEFT my last drink like somewhere on the counter (it wasn't passed to me) with the cover half closed. I was like !?!??! Damn freak up service.
After the movie, figured that the Level 9 is a nice play to chill but could be achieved at anyone's place with any console game, a wide TV and lots of DVDs. Missed our last bus and stuff so Alec decided to explore around (Ning was surprised that NYDC was close) [Writer's Note: MUahhahahahahahaha] so walked down to check out the new Cathay PictureHouse. Kinda nice but a little plain on the outside. Went further down to explore SMU. Its a nice place but i figure will get lost easier than other campus. Finally went down to CHIJMES and back home. Had a great time bumping around.

Woke up rather early due to habit and realize I'm ON LEAVE!! Yeah. Received my usual bombardment of sms blessings from my friends. Was surprised that manager sms'ed. Alec and Ning were the first to remind me of my "old-ness" since the movie ended around 12. Slacked the whole day at home, downloading stuff for the world's slowest ibook, mine. Well, back to work again tomorrow.
That's my birthday break for those who are interested to know. Thank you guys for making it such a wonderful time. Thank God for blessing me with you guys.

Fruitful Day
Yesterday went for KTV after bugging the OCT bros for so long. Well, Other than the usual people, there's a special guest. The Legendary Lyn. Well, let's just say we've found another reason to whack Ivan.
Anyway, had fun at KTV but as usual, not long enough. Went to Chinatown market for dinner. Had claypot rice, pan-fried dumplings, stingray and rojak. Not bad, except that at the end, someone was frying chilli which I think can be used as smoke grenade.
I've been thinking and decided to list out a "stars" profile. Here it goes

外号：飘移小王子
特征：唱歌带有沧桑，最擅长福建歌曲。因为唱歌时不时音会飘，所以有飘移小王子之称。
Alec Huang
外号：花儿杀手
特征：唱歌时带有杀气，偏向古惑仔式的歌曲。但以一首“花香”打破了以往酷酷的外形。杀人放火 平常心
Nicholas Tu
外号：下一位康康
特征：长的本土味，所以唱起歌来很有税负力。放狠话的功力，无人能挡。
Ivan Seah
外号：力宏与玉青的结合
特征：唱起歌来，有王力宏的咬字不清和费玉青的高雅气息。唱起重型歌曲有另一种滋味。

To My Favourite Jrs
This is a term i've been using since my seconday school band days. It started with 2 juniors on very bad terms and me and binghui each took one under "our care" and bridge the gap. Hahah. I choose this chubby fair boy while he choose the thin dark one. In the end, the two became rather close friends.
The term "favourite junior" was used until nearing the end of sec 2. That time, one jr was joking around (he and a senior is going out) and the term was born. At that time, i was sort of the Assistant section leader. So there was this girl that i kinda like (not get into relationship kinda likda) and hope to "nurture" her and pass her my "soon to be confirmed" post of section leader. She's sort of the first favourite jr. Then in sec 3, I was appointed Band Major and section leader. When the newbies came in, only one guy joined my section so he was naturally my "favourite jr" in that batch. Along the way, there was a few. Now, kinda lost contact with some of them but they made my sec sch life more colourful.
May Ma
The first official favourtie jr. I think in the end she didnt continue my designation as section leader. But she's the one i take care of most often. Seldom scold her.
Farhan
My second official fav jr. The next boy descendant and openly declared favourite jr. Everyone knows I want to pass down the post to him. Hahaha. I think the others in the section were kinda jealous of him. Sadly, He didnt end up as section leader too.
Desmond
The chubby boy who i took under my care. Turn out to be a fine young crazy physco man. Now in SISPEC. He's into designs and stuff too. Well, was grooming him to be drum major (or Band major, cant remember), which he liked but we think is quite impossible. Hahahaa (Des, if you're reading, you know its true)
Kit
The skinny dark boy Binghui "adopted". A talented artist and musician. Kinda lost contact. But glad to know he's in close terms with the Boys as i call them. Another possible candidate with leadership qualities.
Kevin.
With Kit and Desmond, they form the Boys. Kind of the plain one among them. But the most popular among girls. Erm. Yah.
Yiwen.
The small girl that has the same birthday as me. Use to be a little trouble maker. An incident changed my opinion of her. She's a fiesty one. Was pushing her for Drum major or at least one of the major posts.
Vincent.
Can be considered the closest fav jr to me. Like to assualt me. A talented musician too. He's suppose to be Band major.
Kenton.
The youngest of my favourites. He's like 6 years younger than me. My close senior's cousin. "Appointed" him when I went back to help a friend coach the newbies. Was grooming him for Drum major but he had more interest in rugby. Glad he's JJ rugby captain now.
I acknowledge them as my favourites cause each of them are unique and special in their own ways and cut out for something big. Well, kinda like their senior. They have contributed much to the band then and supported me always. Now, i think none of them are involved in band anymore, neither did each of them suceeded my posts, they were leaders in their own feilds.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Went for NTU faculty test yesterday morning. Took my own sweet time to get there since i live rather near but end up reaching on time.
The test looks fairly simple.
1st question, use simple graphics (square, circle, triangle and rectangle) to express certain words (orderly, bulky and refined)
2nd question, use one word to explain a photograph. Describe something you would add to enhance the feeling. Describe something you would add to reverse that feeling.
3rd question, Draw a graphic composition with a open chinese fan and a cloth in the wind.
4th question, write a simple story between a girl and a panda
5th question, draw in 6 panels interaction between the girl and the panda
6th question, explain why you use 3 colours (among listed ones) as packing and wrapping for your friend's pastry and cakes service for special occasions
well looks fairly simple. So i spent sometime looking at the people taking the test. Then thought it ends as 11am (started at 10) so rushed through it and realized it was 11 30am. But no time to redraw everything. Damn! Well saw the people around me and their work look rather nice. Damn! Well. Its all in His hands now. I think i better start looking for alternatives.
