POP-ed!!

I passed out last Thursday. Didnt want to post till i get the photos but its taking quite a while so ill update a bit. More on POP when i have all the photos from others.

I'm posted to Public Affairs Dept [PAD] at New Pheonix Park [NPPK] as Publications Officer. Taking over Juffery's place. PAD's a very fun place to be if the Media Relations [MR] people would stop bothering me. Ivan and Ah lec also at NPPK. Jon too but he's at MHA and dont get to see him much. For last 2 days, had been having lunch with them. Jon is uncontactable. Nic is at TRACOM. Kinda miss them already. Momo too. My job scope's quite challenging. More on that together with photo of the place soon. Very tired these few days, so im going to end here. More updates soon.

Passing Out Soon

In less then a week's time, i will be out of police academy. Im going to pass out after 1 year plus as a trainee. Raymond [from hawk coy] is commissioning too. A pity they cant come for mine cause its a weekday. Raymond invited me to his but have to sneak in cause of the lack of tickets. We shall see how. More about passing out in later post.

DRIFT 2006
Upon ops order, im suppose to write about Drift 2006. If you read previous posts, you will know about the charity cycling trip 6 NSPIs are taking. While teaching me how to cycle, Ah lec and wayne came up with the idea of Drift 2006 [aka Piao Yi 2006]. The idea came up when ah lec had to drift to avoid me while going down the slope. By our mere presence, me jon and nick was made group members of the Drift 2006 team. Now we are suppose to think of what to do for this event. Well, i think it sort of involves cycling and stuff too. Another thing which i think Ops would want me to mention is that only 2 of the Drift 2006 team made it for the PA to Juliet trip, namely Ah lec and wayne. [To Ops, please vet and approve entry]

LOST AND FORGOTTEN
Its quite funny how life turns out to be. Its amazing how people who are close to you can suddenly feel so distant and people whom you haven contact for years still talk like its only been yesterday. I guess this is the way to tell who are those who can walk you till the end. I hate to see people im close with fade away like old photographs. Hope nothing of that sort happens.

There's more things to say but i have to go out now. To be continued...

Bits and pieces

The last week had been terrible for me. In a lousy mood since i booked in for no apparent reasons. Seems like the no mood wave is upon me again. It happened twice, once in secondary 3 after Sir had to resign and poly 3 during the Rondeau period. Well, hopefully it will pass soon.

I have a confession to make. I didnt know how to ride a bicycle. Well, at least not till Friday. Due to some people, our squad had to help out in a charity event where we had to cycle to Jurong division after which 6 people will cycle all the way to Penang in 10 days. When Dom 1st told us about the event, i was shocked. Then he proceed to ask who cant cycle, though embarrassed, i had to confess. It wasnt as bad as i expect. The guys did laugh but not a big deal. While that was months ago. I was suppose to learn to ride during the block leave but well i didnt. So on friday, we had to stay in so in the evening pratically the whole PA is ours. Ah lec got a bike and taught me the basic which involves walking around like an idiot. We had to stop half way to go for some briefing. Its kind of sad to know that you will be left behind. After the briefing, stayed to help carry stuff and carry out Operations T-shirt. There was 3 bikes left in the parade square so delwyn [thereafter known as boss] ask me to learn to ride all the way back. Brian supported me and had a few tries. Somehow, i managed to cycle quite a distance. Practiced a few times and managed to get a L plate. In an hour or so, i was able to cycle rather well. Yah and thanks to Brian for waiting for us. Apparently Dom was with him and i think he saw and heard me shouting all over the place. Well, headed back to barracks to have pizza and rambutans [Upper barrack had mini-ops - Ops Ram] and proceed back to cycle around PA. By that time, i was able to go around rather well after cycling up and down the huanted house. I vaguely remember someone that sounded like nick calling me but being the beginner im, i cant turn to see. Nick, Jon and Wayne joined us later. We went around PA and finally decided to go up Jalan Gasing. For those who haven been to PA, Jalan Gasing is this slope that is behind the parade square thats rather high. It was the most amazing feeling, reminds me of times when my cousin would give me ride in his bike or car around his estate at super high speed. Went around PA and down the slope a couple hundred of times. Nick taught the must know trick which is to brake in a cool way. All in all i had 3 crashes. One of which is caused by momo, a couple of stunt moves and zer0 falls. I did almost crash in to Jon, ah lec and boss a couple of times. Now im proud to say, i know how to cycle. Well hopefully i wouldnt forget.

Well, i sort of realize one of my fears. Im afraid that i will be forgotten or ignored. I think its a retribution for being so forgetful. Maybe that is why im in the media industry. To create something that will be remembered. It hurts the most when people you are close with ignore or forget you.

I have forgotten the power of prayers. An incident to share. My mom has always be against the idea of christianity and stuff. After i found my faith, i have prayed for my mom's aceptance. I thought it would be almost impossible considering how she use to scold my brother for having a bible and crucifix and stuff and keeping them away. But still i prayed. It wasnt untill recently that i realized my prayers have been answered. My mom actually bought me a crucifix pendant and even asked about my church friends. Its quite amazing. It reminds me of the powers of prayers. So when you are in despair, take a moment a pray. Everything might work out after all. A lesson brought to you by my Heavenly Father.

Well, block leave going to end soon. I would like to say thank you to all who have made my leave not seem so bad after all.

Firstly, like to thank my twin for putting up with my rentless bugging, for the stupid trips to town and early morning sms-es. Sorry i keep bugging you to go out but im really bored at home and there's noone else. Thanks

Secondly, nick and ivan for accompanying me to ease my sushi craving when everyone else couldnt make it. I had a wonderful time crapping with them.

Thirdly, Ami for going into all the trouble into sending the mac around for repair and calling the guy up to bug him. The chat was great too, definately made my day better.

Fourthly, Xiao ming for giving me his guitar to make me pass my time better.

Fifthly, Xia and szeming for putting up with so many aeroplanes and bubbles. I promise we will have mahjung some day.

Lastly, Ah lec for entertaining me when im bored.

Long Vocation

It's down to the last two days of the block leave and i think this is the second time i written any thing since the break start. Nothing much has happened due to the fact that i was sick for 3 -4 days and it haven really recovered yet.

I haven met up with a lot of people which i haven seen for a very long time. Mainly because i was sick and SOMEONE forgot i had break and didnt call. Since she's busy with work and stuff i shall not blame her. I went out quite a lot with ivan and nic and jon since they definately have time. In the end, i did catch a number of movie and had a lot of Burger King.

I did meet up with Harv and des but it was for a while only. I wanted to go down for some gig in town, asked jon and others along. Jon came up with some excuse and fled his wedding dinner [no not his, his cousin's] Ah lec was in town with his girlfriend so we met up. We had dinner and shopping but didnt go for the gig. We end up at Indochine having a drink. Jon had some lime gin thingy i think. Nick had a non-alcoholic one and Alex had long isle tea. i had white russian which is milk and kalua and vodka. not that nice since it was a small cup. Jon's was okie and ah lec's was not bad. Nick's would have good if there's alcohol. Deen was working there as sound tech. I was quite shocked to see him, had a little chat and watch the band. 3 guys and they sound very nice. In the end, went to meet up with harv and des and made our way home. Des is amazing. He had his printing machine for like almost a year and he still dunno how to print a bloody t-shirt.

Meixia called a lot of time to play mahjung but it was the sick period so very sorry to them. One day, she wanted me to go IMM with her. End up going there to drop like a whole stack of lucky draw coupons at BEST DENKI. Ah ming was there so had lunch and talked a little. Thye going HongKong soon. I think its the trip they asking me about. Well, hopefully they remember to buy stuff for me.

I did see xiao ming for a while. He had a guitar which he doesnt play so i happily took it from him. He looks fine. He took over his computer room and now he had his own room. I want my own room too.

I didnt meet up with ami and khai because of some reasons. The mac is giving us a lot of problems which is partially why i cant do my squad video. Well, did had a nice talk with her just now. We should really meet up soon. Im beginning to miss my mac.

I met with siwei to return him his camera. Its very nice of him. He slim down a lot and had a girlfriend. Well talked about sean koh and school and studying and stuff. I really should get the FSV people together and chill some day.

I met Ka Asra on my way home one day. Talked to her about work and stuff.

I saw Linli too when i was out with the melayus from camp. We were suppose to watch War of e World but end up watching some spanish show called Innocent Voices. Its not a bad shoe but reminded me of film theory or something where i have to write a report. Thats a funny day. We had lunch at like 3 plus and went for the movie. At around 6 plus 7, i suggested dinner and everyone was shocked. Shocking meh. Jon also hungry what. We had the new Swiss Mushroom Whooper and it was OH MY GOD. Then we proceed to taka to get ice-cream. End up buying a tub from cold storage and eating outside taka. I wanted to drop by xingcheng's shop but i missed him. He just got off work. So we had our ice-cream. Momo came down with little girl and we slacked around for a while before going home.

I met up with Soul'd Out after so long. As their self-appointed manager, i feel very proud of their accomplishment so far. Actually its quite embrassing when reuel calls me the manager considering i never done much. ANyway, they had their own studio and i drop by. It actually a small old house at the outskirt of Henderson Sec. Reuel's company uses half as the office and they kindly let Soul'd out use the other half. Matt is back from aust and is doing a documentary on music in singapore. Ash is posted as driver in some unit in jurong. Gerald is going to enlist soon and justin's well justin. Their very first jam in the new studio. I helped then with the mixer. Its been a long time. Thank God i still remember my stuff. It was a great jam.

Well, im going to go back to hell again. I was hoping to enjoy myself more but this wasnt that bad after all. Pictures coming soon.
