On New Year's Eve, wanted to do some last minute shopping but couldn't find anything nice so got myself a nice hair cut.
Reunion dinner was at a "traditional" teochew restuarant at Bukit Batok. Kinda like one of those posh Kopi-tiam at the void decks. The dinner wasn't really FANTASTIC but we had some weird stuff
This is Shark Meat!
How traditional can cheese prawns with thick bee hoon be?
For the first time in many years, we gambled at my grandparent's place. For the first time, grandma took out some old school game for us to play.
Aint it Cool?!
My look for the first day.
My sister's funky shades which I appropriated for the day. Did the whole day's relative-house hopping on my uncle's lorry. Had the usual brief encounters with cousins which I see once a year and occasionally on the road. One of them turn out to be a 45th OCT junior too. Erm... yeah.....
On the second day, had our usual lunch at my aunt's place. Like always, but this year we had weird brocolli. Take a look.
It looks like a clam/screw/shell mutation but taste quite nice. Its more expensive too.
After lunch, went to my 1st uncle's place for visiting. Been there a couple of times but only recently when my aunt showed me some old school stuff she collected from really long ago. Cool traditional stuff that you hardly find anywhere else.

Update 1.03
Updates updates!
Been a busy week, was totally packed with an assignment and a presentation ON THE SAME DAY! Thank God everything went ok (sort of). The presentation was funny though. My group was totally not ready but the lecturer actually thought it was nice. Anyway, been wanting to mention it but always forgot. The lecture (who teaches my Art History tutorials) is none other than the Singapore artist, Donna Ong. Her works was featured in the recent Biennale (pronounce: BA-ni-ni) in City Hall. She looks pretty young for a 28 year-old.
Onto Valentine's Day. Had a fun class that day. The guys in class surprised the girls with roses while they countered with flowers and chocolate. Kun lei and I went to form a heart shape (a nice one) on the golf course which got cleared by someone. We suspect its the workers. The rest went to make another one after class.
Yesterday, went for Sng's birthday chalet. It's suppose to be a surprise for him which was spoiled by his uni friend who thought it was yesterday and called him. Well, he went to the chalet yesterday, so ya, uni student. Anyway, the turnout was rather poor, only Ah pek, Alec, Wan li, Ivan, Junhao and chewy. Momo and Eugene T came rather late. Had a great time there. Bought a bottle of Vodka for Sng and made him drink with us. A dashful of toast for each of us which means 7 dashes which turn out to be something for him. After his cake cutting, his friend poured a cup full with like a bit of punch. The friend downed it but Sng can't make it so I down the rest after he drank a mouthful. Oh, Ivan and Sng's Superstar friend (who, unfortunate I have no recollection of) was with us for a while. She stayed in Bukit Panjang so we gave her a lift home. Ah pek was suppose to drop us at Yishun then we make our own way home BUT... Chewy keep pointing out that Woodlands is some exit along the way so end up Ah Pek sent all of us home. So its Pasir Ris to Woodlands to Bukit Panjang to Bukit Timah to Jurong East to Jurong West then back to Yishun. Ah Pek! We Love You! hahahah.
New Year Dinner is tonight. The first time we're not having it at home. So it's going to be an early dinner. looks like its going to be a long night tonight.
